Heart sick

January 15th, 2008 · 2 Comments

In the last couple of days (day 14 & 15), I’ve wondered how to do an act of kindness when I feel heart sick.  While I know that there are a lot of other bigger problems in the world, right at this moment, my own problems have me feeling very sad.

This too shall pass.

Yesterday was a catch up at home day.  I worked yesterday to think kind thoughts about people who I am frustrated with. That was quite a bit of work. However, I found that the more I focused on being kind, the less frustrated I became.  I even came up with a solution for the perpetually barking dog neighbor.  Let’s see if I implement.

I’m out and about today.  We’ll see what happens.

Oh I do love that: this too shall pass. Those few words really bring a sense of hope to any hard to deal with moment.

I’ll pray for you, as my act of kindness, that the people you are frustrated with open their eyes. Would also love to hear about this barking dog solution.

I’m so sorry you’re feeling sick at heart. Is there any way I can help?

Good luck in solving all the frustrating situations in the best possible way.

My mother always said, “This too shall pass.” Thanks for the reminder.
